Before requesting a street lighting quotation, prepare the road layout, pole positions, power supply and review requirements. Mark unknowns for discussion rather than assuming a specification.
Road and pole layout
Share the project country, road length and width, lanes, junctions and pedestrian areas. Include a drawing or BOQ, approximate quantities, existing pole heights, spacing and mounting details where known.
Power, controls and site conditions
State the available voltage and frequency, wiring constraints, operating schedule and control expectations. Identify coastal exposure, nearby homes and access restrictions for the project team to review.
Photometric review and quotation scope
Ask which IES or LDT file matches the proposed luminaire and optics. Share consultant requirements for lighting levels, uniformity, glare and spill light; ask which calculations and documents are available on request. Confirm the configuration, exclusions and commercial terms in writing.
