Quotation and shipment documents

Common requests include a pro forma invoice before the order, a commercial invoice, packing list and the relevant transport document for shipment. Ask which party prepares each item, what information is needed and when drafts can be reviewed.

Origin and destination requirements

A certificate of origin or other destination-specific paperwork may be requested. Ask your broker which form and supporting details apply, then confirm feasibility with the supplier. Product descriptions, quantities and consignee details should be consistent across the agreed documents.

Certificates and technical documents on request

State the destination market, proposed configuration and documents your buyer or consultant requires. Certificates, test reports and technical files are on request and subject to confirmation during enquiry for the exact product and scope. Do not treat a series page or another configuration’s document as evidence for your order.
